The Westfield Leas Condominium neighborhood is a community of apartment-style condominiums-built ca. 1987 as an active adult (55-plus) community with 18 buildings consisting of 144 units.

Cinnaminson was incorporated as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 15, 1860, from portions of Chester Township (now known as Maple Shade Township). Portions of the township were taken to form Delran Township in 1880, Riverton in 1893 and Palmyra in 1894.

The name "Cinnaminson" is said to derive from the Lenape Native American word "Senamensing," which means "sweet water". Alternatively, the name may derive from Native American words meaning "stone island".
